Open TikTok video downloaderGetchify is a browser-based set of tools for saving available media from eligible public Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok URLs. Choose the matching platform, paste a supported link, and save the resolved file through a temporary download link. The service does not bypass private accounts, login requirements, deleted content, or other access restrictions.
Start with the individual public post or video—not a profile, feed, or search page.
Open the Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok tool according to the source of your URL.
Open an eligible individual post or video, select Share or the platform’s link-copy option, and copy the complete URL.
Paste the URL into the selected tool, select Download, and use the generated temporary link while it is active.
Social platforms publish links and media differently. The dedicated tools state their supported inputs, outputs, and limits before you submit a URL.
| Tool | Eligible public links | Available output | Not supported |
|---|---|---|---|
| Posts, Reels, and carousels | Video files, image files, or multiple carousel items | Profiles, Stories, private, deleted, or login-restricted media | |
| Video posts, Reels, and Watch links | An available direct combined video source | Private, friends-only, hidden-group, removed, or login-restricted content | |
| TikTok | Video pages and supported vm, vt, or /t share links | An available compatible video file | Photo posts, profiles, feeds, hashtags, sounds, LIVE streams, private, or deleted videos |
The selected tool checks that the URL belongs to its supported platform and points to an eligible public content type.
Getchify requests an available direct media source. If the platform does not expose a compatible file, the tool cannot create one.
When a file is available, Getchify provides a temporary download link that expires after 10 minutes. Submit the source URL again after it expires.
Getchify does not transcode, artificially upscale, remove source watermarks, or bypass private-account, login, or permission controls.
Open the appropriate tool in a current browser. No mobile app, desktop program, or browser extension is required. Your browser and device settings determine where the finished file is saved.
The result depends on the compatible source made available for the public URL. Audio is present only when included in the selected video source. Getchify does not transcode, increase resolution, add a watermark, or remove an existing watermark.
The Facebook tool returns an available direct combined video file when a compatible source is exposed.
The Instagram tool can return available video files, image files, or separate items from a supported carousel.
The TikTok tool returns an available compatible video file from an eligible public video link.
Direct answer
Can Getchify save a private video? No. The tools process eligible public URLs only and do not bypass private-account settings, login requirements, group permissions, deleted posts, or other access controls.
Getchify does not request an Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok username, password, cookie, or access token.
Getchify resolves and streams available source media without saving a copy of the media file on the application server. Temporary source grants are held in memory only until they expire.
Public availability does not grant ownership or reuse rights. Download only content you own or have permission to save, and respect applicable law, creator rights, and each platform’s terms.
A public URL can still fail when it is incomplete, points to an unsupported page, has been removed, requires permission, or does not currently expose a compatible direct source.
Submit Instagram URLs to the Instagram tool, Facebook URLs to the Facebook tool, and TikTok URLs to the TikTok tool.
Use the Share menu or full browser URL for one supported post or video. Do not submit a profile, feed, search, or collection page.
Open the URL in a private or logged-out browser window. If the platform requires a login or permission, Getchify cannot process it.
Generated download links expire after 10 minutes. Submit the original public URL again when a link has expired.
