Agreement to these terms
By using Getchify, you agree to follow these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What the service provides
Getchify is an independent browser-based utility that checks eligible public links and provides a temporary download link when a compatible media source is available. It does not provide a social-media account, host a permanent public media library, or grant access to private or restricted content.
Support, file type, quality, audio, and availability depend on the original link and the source made available by the relevant platform. Generated download links expire after 10 minutes.
Permission to use content
You may use Getchify only for content that you own, that you have permission to save, or that you are otherwise legally entitled to download. A public link does not by itself transfer copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark, or other rights.
You are responsible for determining whether your download, storage, editing, sharing, publication, or other use of a file is permitted by applicable law, the rights holder, and the original platform's terms.
Acceptable use
You must not use Getchify to:
- infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights;
- obtain or attempt to obtain private, friends-only, group-restricted, login-restricted, deleted, or otherwise protected content;
- submit passwords, account cookies, authentication tokens, private links, or another person's confidential information;
- bypass technical protections, permissions, geographic controls, service limits, rate limits, or access restrictions;
- run automated, bulk, high-volume, or abusive requests, including scraping or enumeration;
- disrupt, overload, probe, scan, attack, reverse engineer, or interfere with Getchify or its infrastructure;
- distribute malware, deceptive files, spam, or unlawful material;
- impersonate Getchify, misrepresent an affiliation with Getchify, or use a Getchify shortcut URL to deceive another person; or
- use a downloaded file in a way that falsely implies ownership, endorsement, or permission.
Getchify watermark setting
Unless Remove watermark is enabled, Getchify adds a translucent Getchify logo and wordmark to the top-right corner of a video export. The selection is saved in your browser so it remains consistent on later visits.
The setting controls only the Getchify-added brand mark. Getchify does not remove, hide, crop, or alter a watermark, attribution, ownership mark, or notice already present in the source. Enabling Remove watermark does not grant ownership or permission to repost, edit, monetize, or distribute the video. A Getchify brand mark does not mean that Getchify owns or endorses the source content.
Platform terms and independence
Your use of source-platform content remains subject to the applicable platform's rules and terms. Getchify is independent and is not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Facebook, Meta Platforms, TikTok, ByteDance, YouTube, or Google.
Platform names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify compatibility and source links.
Service availability and changes
Platforms can change links, access rules, and media delivery without notice. Getchify does not guarantee that a particular link will resolve, that a file will remain available, or that the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Getchify may limit, suspend, or refuse requests to protect the service, comply with legal obligations, address abuse, or enforce these terms. Features, supported link types, and limits may change.
Third-party content and links
Source media and external links are provided by third parties. Getchify does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, platform availability, or external-site practices. Review the source platform before relying on or using its content.
Copyright reports
Getchify respects intellectual-property rights. To report a copyright concern, follow Copyright and Takedown Requests. Because Getchify generally provides short-lived access to media hosted by a source platform, you may also need to contact that platform to request removal of the original content.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Getchify is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee that every link, file, format, or platform will work. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when the service, its risks, or applicable requirements change. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means the updated terms apply to later use.
