What Getchify does
Getchify validates the public URL you submit, asks the relevant platform for a compatible media source, and provides a temporary download link when one is available. Generated download links expire after 10 minutes.
The service does not ask for your social-media username or password. It does not bypass private accounts, login requirements, deleted content, group permissions, region restrictions, or other access controls.
Supported tools
- Instagram Video Downloader for eligible public posts, Reels, and carousel media.
- Facebook Video Downloader for eligible public videos, Reels, Watch links, and supported share links.
- TikTok Video Downloader for eligible public video pages and supported share links.
Support depends on the link type and the compatible media source currently made available by the original platform. Getchify cannot guarantee that every public-looking link will resolve.
A faster URL workflow
If you are already viewing an eligible public post, you can replace the platform hostname with its Getchify shortcut. For example, change www.facebook.com/reel/... to facebook.getchify.com/reel/.... The matching Getchify tool opens with the original link and begins checking it.
Responsible use
Public availability does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reuse a file. Use Getchify only for content you own or have permission to save, and follow applicable law and the original platform's terms.
