Public media links
When you submit a link, Getchify processes the URL to validate its platform and content type, request an available public media source, and create a temporary download link. Do not submit a private link or a URL containing personal or confidential information.
Messages
If you email Getchify, the message can include your email address and any information you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, social-media cookies, access tokens, payment information, or unnecessary personal information.
Information processed automatically
The web server and hosting infrastructure may process standard request information such as your IP address, request time, requested path and query, HTTP status, referring page, and browser user-agent string. This information is used to operate, secure, rate-limit, and troubleshoot the service.
Standard access logs are not configured to record the body of a link submitted through the paste form. If you use a shortcut such as facebook.getchify.com/reel/..., the source platform path is part of the requested shortcut URL and may appear in your browser history and standard server access logs.
Temporary media processing
Getchify checks an eligible public URL through the relevant source platform and creates a short-lived server-side grant when a compatible source is available. Public download links expire after 10 minutes. Direct, unprocessed media grants are held in application memory for approximately 10 minutes and 30 seconds at most and may disappear earlier if they expire, are removed to maintain service limits, or the application restarts.
For a default branded video export, Getchify temporarily stages the compatible source in isolated server work storage and creates a processed artifact with a translucent Getchify logo and wordmark in the top-right corner. While a job is waiting to be staged, its source URL and any TikTok delivery cookie needed for that request remain in application memory; they are discarded from the job record as soon as staging completes or fails, or when an unstaged job expires. Processing-status links remain valid for up to 7 hours so multi-video results can be prepared in sequence. The staged source is deleted after processing, and the processed artifact is deleted after the temporary processing and download-link windows close. Failed or interrupted jobs are cleaned up automatically. Getchify does not maintain a permanent media library.
When Remove watermark is enabled, Getchify proxies the available compatible source without creating a branded artifact. This control affects only Getchify's own mark; it does not remove, cover, crop, or alter a watermark already present in the source video. Images are not given a Getchify video watermark.
In some TikTok requests, Getchify temporarily holds an anonymous TikTok delivery cookie in the same server-side media grant so it can retrieve the compatible video source. Getchify does not place that TikTok cookie in your browser, and it is not a user account credential.
Browser storage and cookies
Getchify stores the Remove watermark preference in your browser's local storage so your selection remains consistent on later visits. The stored value contains only that on/off preference. It remains on your device until you change it, clear site data, or use browser controls to remove it.
Getchify currently does not set a first-party browser cookie and does not use third-party advertising or analytics scripts.
How information is used
Getchify uses the information described above to:
- validate and process eligible public links;
- deliver previews and temporary download links;
- apply your selected Getchify watermark preference;
- prevent abuse, enforce service limits, and protect the service;
- diagnose failures and maintain reliability; and
- respond to support, privacy, copyright, and abuse messages.
When information is shared
Getchify sends the submitted public URL and necessary media requests to the relevant source platform to perform the service. Hosting and network providers process request data as needed to deliver and secure the site. Email providers process messages sent to and from the contact address.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, protect users or the service, investigate abuse, or enforce the Terms and Acceptable Use.
Getchify does not sell personal information.
Retention
- Temporary download links expire after 10 minutes. Direct, unprocessed media grants normally expire within approximately 10 minutes and 30 seconds.
- Processing-status links expire after 7 hours. Staged source files are deleted after processing. Processed video artifacts and worker status records are retained for no more than 7.5 hours after creation; interrupted or unclaimed worker files are removed within 8 hours. Failed jobs are cleaned up automatically.
- The Remove watermark preference remains in your browser until you change it or clear the site's local storage.
- Support and policy emails are kept only as long as needed to review the request, maintain necessary records, and meet legal or security obligations.
- Operational logs are kept only as long as needed for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service operation.
Your choices and requests
You can avoid browser storage by clearing Getchify site data after use. You can choose whether Getchify adds its brand mark by changing Remove watermark before downloading.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information associated with you. Email dhanur2@gmail.com with a clear description of your request. Getchify may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant record, and may not be able to associate a standard server log entry with a particular person.
Security
Getchify uses technical safeguards intended to limit access and reduce misuse, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Never provide social-media credentials to Getchify or to anyone claiming to provide Getchify support.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the service, its processing, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and the text on this page.
